Introduction to the EU Fertiliser Products Regulation

• History, general principles, recent updates and future developments, link with other regulations, focus on Product Function Categories (PFC) and how to identify the relevant PFC and check compliance

Focus on Component Material Categories (CMC)

• Overview of the CMCs and how to check compliance of your ingredient(s) with the relevant CMC

Conformity assessment procedures and technical dossier

• Internal production control (Module A) and plus supervised product testing (Module A1)
• EU-type examination and Internal production control (Module B+C)

• Quality assurance of the production process (Module D1)

Day 2

REACH + FPR: Practical solutions for fulfilling REACH criteria and including fertiliser use (PC12) in the dossier

• Requirements and exemptions under the FPR and how to check if a substance is compliant

Focus on plant biostimulants

• Terminology, general principles, practical examples, specific requirements for biostimulants under the FPR, borderline cases
• Link with national legislations (some examples)
• Labelling of fertilising products according to the FPR
