Overview

Installing IBM Cloud Pak for Data on-premises for the first time can be a daunting task. This course aims to demystify and streamline that process for learners new to the Cloud Pak for Data ecosystem. 

This course follows Emily, a Cloud Pak for Data administrator. Emily is assigned to install the Cloud Pak for Data platform on a Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform cluster that has been provisioned to her by the Red Hat OpenShift administrator. Emily is new in the world of Cloud Pak for Data and has never done this before. 

Throughout this course, Emily plans out the installation of IBM Cloud Pak for Data and additional services, prepares the cluster, and installs the IBM Cloud Pak for Data platform. Later, Emily also upgrades IBM Cloud Pak for Data 4.8.x to a newer version. 

Together with Emily, you learn step-by-step how to perform each task in this course. Ultimately, you also verify your newly acquired knowledge in a series of hands-on exercises performed in a custom-made course lab environment as well as in a final assessment.

Enterprises and organizations are creating, analyzing and keeping more data than ever before. An organization’s underlying storage must support new-era big data and artificial intelligence workloads along with traditional applications while ensuring security, reliability and high performance. IBM Spectrum Scale meets these challenges as a high-performance solution for managing data at scale. This new course covers IBM Spectrum Scale features that enable data-anywhere access that spans storage and locations to accelerate applications across the data center or around the world. Attendees should already know the basics of installing, configuring and managing a Spectrum Scale clustered file system and how to use the installer toolkit.

This course is intended for IT professionals tasked with administering a Spectrum Scale storage cluster consisting of Linux nodes. The course includes information on various Spectrum Scale features that enable remote access to the data that is stored in a cluster file system. This includes: multi-cluster support, clustered NFS, cluster export services (CES) and protocol support (NFS, SMB, Object, and block), Active File Management (AFM), and AFM-based Asynchronous Disaster Recovery (AFM DR). The features are described in lecture materials and implemented in lab exercises.

 

Am Ende des Seminars sind die Teilnehmenden in der Lage, Angular und Angular Material effektiv zu nutzen, um leistungsstarke, skalierbare und visuell ansprechende Webanwendungen zu entwickeln und bereitzustellen. Sie lernen, wie sie Projekte planen, entwickeln, integrieren und testen, um verschiedene Anforderungen abzudecken und die Anwendungsleistung zu optimieren.

Das Seminarziel ist es,den Teilnehmern ein fundiertes Verständnis des  3D-Drucks zu vermitteln. Sie werden mit den grundlegenden Techniken, den verschiedenen 3D-Drucktechnologien und den zugehörigen Materialien  vertraut gemacht. Sie werden auch Einblick in die Anwendungsbereiche  dieser Technologie in verschiedenen Branchen erhalten. Nach Abschluss  des Seminars sollen die Teilnehmer die Prinzipien des 3D-Drucks  verstehen, die Potenziale und Grenzen dieser Technologie erkennen und in der Lage sein, einfache 3D-Designs zu interpretieren und zu bewerten.

Am Ende des Seminars sind die Teilnehmenden in der Lage, Predictive Modelling mit R umfassend zu nutzen, um datengetriebene Entscheidungen zu treffen und Vorhersagemodelle zu erstellen.

Anhand mehrerer Beispiel-Web-Projekte gestaltet jeder Teilnehmende seine Webanwendung mit Toolset und verwendet dafür schrittweise die neu erworbenen Kenntnisse für  Funktionsdesign, Layoutgestaltung und Inhaltsplanung. 



Sie erfahren im Seminar wie Toolset, WordPress und das Server-backend optimal konfiguriert wird und wie Sie Seiten, benutzerdefinierte Inhaltstypen (Custom Post Types), WooCommerce-Produkte und Beiträge mit jeder gewünschten Funktionalität und dynamischen Design erstellen können. 



Im Rahmen Ihres Übungsprojektes erfahren Sie, wie Sie mit „Toolset-Blocks“ Inhaltslisten visuell darstellen und Templates für Inhaltstypen sowie Archivseiten gestalten. Mit den „Toolset-Blocks“ werden Sie leistungsstarke benutzerdefinierte, geschwindigkeitsoptimierte Suchen und Datenbankabfragen für jeden Inhaltstyp erstellen.



Sie nutzen außerdem das „Types“-Plugin und errichten damit benutzerdefinierte Beitragstypen, benutzerdefinierte Taxonomien und benutzerdefinierte Datenfelder. Sie experimentieren, wie Sie Felder zu jedem beliebigen Inhaltstyp und zu Benutzern hinzufügen. Mit „Toolset-Forms“ können Sie Frontend-HTML-Formulare für die Erstellung und Bearbeitung von Inhalten und Benutzern erstellen. Im weiteren Verlauf Ihres Übungsprojektes erstellen Sie professionelle-Toolset-Formulare einschließlich der Datenfelder, die zu diesem Inhaltstyp gehören.

This course is designed so that students can learn how z/OS systems operate in a Parallel Sysplex environment through discussion topics and hands-on lab exercises. Students learn problem determination skills, practice enhanced sysplex operations, including management of the coupling facility (CF), and use recovery capabilities provided by the System z servers.

Learners will explore the essential steps in building data modules, from understanding the purpose and workflow of data modeling to creating, refining, and optimizing data structures. The course covers various topics, including managing relationships, advanced features and performance optimization, data enrichment with calculations and filters, creating groups and navigation paths, and managing data security. 

Learners will gain hands-on experience through exercises that enhance their ability to create and customize data modules, review and modify column properties, creating calculations, filters and data groups, and adding column dependencies. These hands on activities ensure learners practice consistency and usability for reporting, dashboarding, and exploration purposes.

By the end of this course, learners should be proficient in developing data modules that integrate multiple data sources, support business analysis, and facilitate informed decision-making within the IBM Cognos v12 environment.
