Overview

This course enables students to perform AIX Live Update operations on the AIX operating system. This includes installing interim fixes, service packs and technology levels using the AIX Live Update capability. 

Students in this course will learn how to implement AIX Live Update. Students will also be exposed to the different management types for live update and learn skills required to install AIX updates, such as technology levels, service packs and interim fixes, without requiring downtime (a reboot) for the server. Best practices and testing methods for live update will be discussed, providing students with the knowledge to effectively configure and manage live update in a production environment. Additionally, students will learn skills to troubleshoot and debug live update issues.

Die Teilnehmenden sollen nach dem Seminar Einstieg in Terraform für Google Cloud in der Lage sein, die folgenden Ziele zu erreichen:

• Verständnis von Terraform und IaC
  : Die Teilnehmenden sollen verstehen, was Infrastructure as Code (IaC) ist und wie Terraform als Werkzeug zur Automatisierung und Verwaltung von Cloud-Infrastruktur funktioniert.
• Beherrschung der Grundlagen
  : Die Teilnehmenden sollen die grundlegenden Konzepte von Terraform verstehen, einschließlich der Syntax von HCL (HashiCorp Configuration Language) und der Erstellung einfacher Terraform-Konfigurationsdateien.

Overview

This course provides you with information about the functions of IBM' s Db2, a relational database manager which may be installed under a variety of operating systems on many hardware platforms.   Db2 runs under a number of operating systems, such as z/OS, VM, Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems. The course includes discussion of how the Db2 products provide services. The focus is on the services Db2 provides and how users work with Db2, not on its internal workings. This course does not include hands-on labs.

Overview

This course is intended for IT professionals tasked with administering an IBM Storage Scale storage cluster in Linux and AIX environments. It includes information on installing, configuring, and monitoring an IBM Storage Scale cluster. Many Storage Scale features are described in lecture materials and then implemented in lab exercises. These features include: Storage management, high availability options, cluster management, and information lifecycle management (ILM) tools. Upon completion of this course, you will earn an IBM badge that recognizes your skills and knowledge in this area. Note: Although the lab environment is running the Linux operating system, the differences in Storage Scale compared with an AIX environment are minor.  Therefore, the skills acquired during the course can be applied in both Linux and AIX environments.

This hands-on course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of IBM PowerSC, including its features, benefits, and how to install, configure, and manage it. 

We will cover the four main pillars of PowerSC: Security, Compliance, threat protection, and Multifactor Authentication (MFA).

File Integrity Monitoring (FIM), allow listing, block listing, endpoint detection and response (EDR) and anti-malware capabilities will also be covered.
